Nick Ray
Director - Preconstruction Mcfarland Construction
Nick has a diverse estimating background and a comprehensive vision of construction. Nick leads preconstruction services including budgeting, scheduling, trade partner relationships, and managing the bid process. He has a strong mastery of On-Screen take-off, Smart Bid, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam technologies to facilitate McFarland’s competitive edge in the preconstruction phase services. Nick’s project portfolio spans from turn-key sitework, Class-A office upfits, and ground-up construction in both public and private sectors.
Skills that Nick brings to the team include being extremely organized, highly efficient, and strong multitasking and critical thinking skills. Nick is highly passionate about community engagement and local trade partner participation. He embraces teamwork and collaboration and works well under pressure.
Nick earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University. Nick is also active in the community and serves as a volunteer track coach at Charlotte Latin School.
