David Mellema

Dave has worked in the construction industry since 1990, specializing in preconstruction management and estimating. He currently serves as Vice President at Weitz, where he is responsible for developing and executing preconstruction strategies that align with client goals and company objectives. He oversees the pursuit and acquisition of major national projects, manages risk assessments, and ensures the delivery of accurate cost models and schedules. Dave works closely with executive leadership, clients, and design teams to foster collaboration, drive innovation, and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency throughout the preconstruction phase. He also mentors and develops preconstruction staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
