Brent Douglass
Partner & Director - Preconstruction Headwaters Construction Co.
Brent Douglass is the Vice President of Preconstruction at Headwaters Construction, where he provides executive leadership over all preconstruction operations across multiple offices. Since joining Headwaters in 2005, he has played a pivotal role in transforming the company from a single-family resort builder into a regional commercial contractor, developing many of the preconstruction systems, processes, and tools the company still uses today. His leadership has helped guide Headwaters’ growth from $40M to more than $250M in annual revenue and expanded its footprint into Utah and Montana.
Brent oversees departmental strategy, pursuit discipline, process standardization, training programs, and forecasting—while also leading owner contract preparation and negotiations. Brent’s philosophy centers on treating every project as if he were the owner—creating proactive, transparent solutions that drive win-win-win outcomes for owners, Headwaters, and trade partners. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University. Brent enjoys dirt biking, hunting, and managing his small herd of cattle. He and his wife are parents to five children and are now navigating life as near-empty-nesters.
