Division Vice President, Estimating Whiting-Turner Contracting Company

Chip Lambertson is a Division Vice President with the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company. Chip has been a construction estimator and analyst since 1984 and has worked for Whiting-Turner for the last 29 years. He currently manages a group of men and women who support Whiting-Turner’s estimating efforts across the country. This group has experience working on projects of all sizes and in all industries.

Chip is also Whiting-Turner’s senior economic analyst. His customized quarterly Time & Monel Alerts have been issued for over twenty years and are used to forecast escalation and inform the company of current issues that could impact cost and/or schedules. Beginning in 2020, Chip and his team began publishing quarterly Supply Chain and Commodity Price Updates. These were crucial in helping navigate through the pandemic and post-pandemic volatility that our industry experienced.

Chip has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Baltimore. He also earned a degree in Construction Management and was an adjunct professor in Construction Estimating for fifteen years at the Community College of Baltimore County. Chip and his wife Mary have a small farm in Westminster, Maryland where they raised their seven children.
